Cult of Corvus by MariosKerpen Cult of Corvus by MariosKerpen
11" X 14", Copic Multiliner .03, 2011.

I used some reference photos to help create this, and I used a new type of pen which I like very much.

Thanks! I'm working on yet another crow drawing right now. How are you doing?
I've been deliberating between buying the Feralhouse Jack Parson's book or The Bloody Countess. Have you read them?
Decoder looks awesome! I always learn about new stuff from your unusualbook blog. Thanks!

Is this ink or pencil Marios? Spectacular!!!!!!!

Thanks Marc!!! It is a copic micro-liner .03 pen. It came out a little light, but I like these pens a lot, they have replaceable nubs and ink, but they do run out relatively quickly.

If you would like, after we complete our ECs in pencil, I will try the pen and ink with you for two more ECs.

I am completely honored and intimidated by that. If you seriously want to attempt to collaborate with me on an Exquisite Corpse, I certainly would try. I am really slow and make a lot of mistakes.

Just to get the basics out of the way. You are familiar with the Exquisite corps technique?
When we exchange addresses we will do it through DA notes.

Thanks a lot! Are your drawings in the style of, Deaths Cult Triangle, the Landscape, etc. published in a book, or related to a story?

You are welcome ^^ I'd very much like them to be, but as of yet none of them are. Some of my work does relate to stories I write. ^^

Beautiful, love the detail on this and how you've created a rough, organic texture with the intricate marks. Also like how the skulls subtly emerge from the background. I do wish the darks were a bit deeper, the whites a bit brighter, but it is nonetheless a wonderful piece.

Thanks! It looks a little better in person, but I too was wondering about the darks being deeper. I did darken it up a bit more after this photo was taken, and I think I am going to leave it and move on, but the drawing I am working on now, I made a point to make darker.
